XLinC Lab

The Institute of German Language and Literature I at the University of Cologne houses its own linguistics lab where experimental studies are carried out. We investigate how the human brain reacts to different language-related stimuli using various methods. This website introduces our lab for Experimental Linguistics in Cologne – the XLinC Lab. The lab is equipped with specialized devices to study human language processing. At our lab, the following types of experiment are carried out:

Information on the Corona virus (SARS-CoV-2)

The University of Cologne's crisis management team, which is responsible for research, teaching and working conditions regarding Covid-19, has approved the hygiene protection concept developed by the XLinC Lab. According to this, the XLinC Lab is open for business in compliance with the hygiene protection concept, which can be viewed here (German only).
